What is S’Ope!
If you’re not familiar with the midwest, people are strangely polite. If they bump into you at the grocery store, accidentally stand in your way, or awkwardly drop something in front of you, it’s almost always met by the word “ope”, which if you aren’t familiar with the phrase is kind of an awkward go-to statement to exclaim your situation. Although you won’t feel awkward smelling so good, it’s so midwestern to, say, drop a bar of bubbly, slippery soap and think to yourself “ope!”.
About Us
S’Ope! is a woman-owned business based out of Indianapolis that focuses on locally sourced ingredients first. All products are made and packaged using environmentally sustainable materials by me. Every batch, regardless of the fragrance, can be a variety of colors or have extra additives, like locally sourced honey, cinnamon, freshly ground coffee and more. Why? Well, color is fun for one but also because sometimes you prefer a bar of soap that may smell a little fruity, but you don’t want a sparkly pink bar in the shower. I take pride in creating something that allows you to shop local, get a better product all around than you can at a big box store, and feel good in doing so.

I started making soap in 2018 and fell in love. Starting out with Melt & Pour process I decided to challenge myself by trying Cold Processed soap and instantly knew that was the process I enjoyed the most due to the number of bars I could make, the variety of options for colors and patterning, and just being able to be more hands-on with every part of the process while knowing exactly what is in each batch, all the way down to the chemical level. I have lots of hobbies, but there’s something about soapmaking that just makes my heart happy. Sure, some people may think getting soap is a back-handed insult, but I think it shows somebody loves you a little more because they care about your self care, something that people seem to forget these days. Remember to put yourself first, and remind those that you love to do the same. Maybe that means starting or ending your day taking a luxurious bath or shower and come out smelling great and feeling recharged!
